Polish Dressage Web Service (dressage.pl) was founded in 2004. It had started as a home page, but in due course of rising popularity and the need of development it went commercial in February 2007. Its basic and still valid goal is to popularize dressage. One of the top Polish dressage riders and a group of friends care for making our news valuable.
Our company takes part in activities making dressage more popular. In 2008 we prepared an advertising folder containing with information about this sport and distributed it in a couple of thousand copies. Then we checked, if it worked and in cooperation with four riding clubs organized a local competition - the 'Mazovia Dressage Cup'. Apparently it will become an annual event.
Although Polish riders prefer jumping than riding 'lines and circles' our national team has recorded some accomplishments in dressage: our representatives competed at the Olympic Games (Michal Rapcewicz and Randon in Hong Kong 2008) and at the European Championships (Olga Michalik and Harmonia, Katarzyna Milczarek and Ekwador, Michal Rapcewicz and Randon in Windsor 2009). The last two names are on the list of the top 50 riders, due to the FEI online ranking.
There are approximately 400 riders at the national level, and few hundred more with local licences, registered in Polish Equestrian Federation. This year, Poland held almost 20 CDN's and 5 CDI's (including two CDI-W). If we add several thousand DRESSAGE.pl users to these numbers, it looks like this equestrian sport is developing in Poland.
If you like to ask any question or need to contact someone, please do not hesitate to write us. There is also a possibility of arranging your participation in a competition in Poland.
We look forward to cooperate with foreign companies as well.
